Cleveland Auto-Rama Thompson Booth

Thanks to all who stopped by the Thompson Raceway Park's booth at the recent Cleveland Auto-Rama (March 20-22, 2009).  We had the best turnout ever!

Thousands of drag racing fans visited our display area and picked up season schedules!

  

Thompson Raceway Parks display at the Cleveland Autorama was a huge success.  There were 28 of the finest race cars in our display including our feature island of Asphalt War cars that included Gary Schween and Chris Nyergess  and their  stable of door slammers, Lester Sensabello III and his top sportsman Monte Carlo, Steve Leerentueld from RDP with his unique twin turbo Austalian Ford Pickup and Al Lee and his six second altered.  We would also like to extend a special thank you to John Vergots who brought his beautiful new ProMod Camaro from Erie, PA to be with us.  A big thank you to the rest of the racers in our display, you did a great job.  They included: Chuck Church Jr., Chuck Church Sr., Larry Gidley, Greg Curtis, Tony Masitto, Gene Schwartz, Bill Dowhanick, Mark Benjamin, Russell Wallace, Dave Meal, Roger Zimmer, UMTR and Great Lakes Funny Car Association.Last but not least, thanks to Ron & Lee Heitman for letting TRP participate in the show.

 

 

 

Also a big tip of the nitro barrel to all those racers who brought their cars out for the display, we had an unprecidented 28 race cars - and that's different cars than we had from the previous year!  All I can say is .... OUTSTANDING !!   You guys are the ones who made the entire weekend highly successful.
